NEW YORK- Last Thursday, October 26, 2017, Ms. Lemire of the F.A.M.E floor in Brittany Hall, NYU, took fifteen lucky winners to go see the legendary Broadway show “Phantom of the Opera.” The performance was excellent, featuring child molester James Barbour as the phantom. When asked about the performance, Skyler Knapp said “I couldn’t go, because I went to Chicago instead. The city, not the musical. I wished I could have, though. It seems great.”

Phantom is about brothers Wirt and Greg, who get lost in the Unknown, a strange forest adrift in time. A wise old woodsman and bluebird Beatrice help them find their way. Along the way, Wirt's thoughts envelope him, while the wonder of the surroundings preoccupy Greg. From the opening song of The Final Countdown by Europe, Phantom branches out to its famous opera ballades, a.k.a. every other song in the entire musical. Because every note sounds like a warbling cat, I’d recommend watching this musical with subtitles. Overall, I’d give it 7/10 masks.
