Aight, so what is the difference between a “bop” and a “banger?” This is a question that has puzzled minds for ages, and I am here to settle this long lasting debate.
Essentially, a “bop” is a song one would dance to. It is generally more pleasant and pop influenced. On the other hand a “banger” is a song to which one would violently move. There is often a lot of bass to get you moving at your core.

I feel the easiest way to see the difference is to look at some examples from the same artist. “Tik Tok” by Kesha is a bop. It is fun and danceable. It also just happens to be one of the best songs ever made but that is another story. On the other hand “Sleazy” by Kesha is gross and core shaking.
But to be safe you will usually be right if you call pop songs bops and hip hop songs bangers. Give or take.
