Volume I, Issue I
NEW YORK- 202 resident Samuel Gregson Slocum, 18, will be participating in a live concert on October 16. The self described “musical hedonist” will be fronting his quintet “Been Stellar” at an intimate gig at “The Rubulad” in Brooklyn.
Fresh off the release of their debut LP “Sells Out,” the Michigan based outfit seeks to bring Midwestern flavor to the NYC scene. The group’s sound can best be described as
“raucous indie” and will surely result in more than one case of tinnitus.
In an exclusive interview with Slocum himself, 211 correspondent Skyler Knapp received some juicy details about the upcoming show:
Knapp: “So, Mr. Slocum, do you think music is a real thing?” Slocum: “Mhmm” Knapp: “Why?” Slocum: shrugs, and winks Knapp: “Gross, what the hell is that smell?” Slocum: *makes quotation marks with fingers* “poop” Knapp: “Who are some of your musical influences?” Slocum: “You know Sonny and Cher?” Knapp” “Yes” Slocum: “Not them” *pulls out a bottle of liquor and starts drinking*
From this interview, it is clear that Slocum is fired up and ready to rock. The Tisch student has previously released a solo record entitled “Nonsense Sound”, but is ready to finally stop being such a self centered queef, and work with his friend Skyler for a goddamn change. Rest assured folks, despite the fact that Slocum refused to go with Skyler to buy snacks at Sidestein because he was a “wittle bit tired”, he is still at work, writing for a nonsensical publication instead of doing something productive.
Address: 388 Flushing Ave., Brooklyn Been Stellar goes on at 8pm

To the guest editorialist:
I’m writing on behalf of newspaper enthusiasts everywhere when I say that the editorial section is supposed to be the newspaper's’ opinion on a social or political issue, and not just another normal article. But let’s look at just how ‘normal’ this article is, shall we? I’ve done some research, and my sources inform me that, in fact, you are in the very band you are promoting. So not only are you expressing total ignorance to what an editorial should be, you are also shamelessly plugging an institution with which you seek to gain from capitally. I am disgusted with the corruption of this newspaper, and the disrespect it shows to proper newspapers everywhere.
Sincerely,
Benjamin…
